Our goal is to protect our community and our vendors, and while the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market will stay informed and keep current of ever-changing regulations and best practices regarding COVID-19. While the Market may be closed, you can still enjoy your favorite market items through unique opportunities! This is a great chance to visit our hard working vendors at their farm stands, retail stores and bakeries or just relax at home and let them bring it right to your doorstep. With St. Patrick’s Day still underway, be sure to grab your staples like potatoes, cabbage and corned beef. If that’s not your style, be sure to check out our farmer’s winter greens and golden honey along with our producers delicious stouts and Irish treats. To all our customers!  We are sorry we will miss you the coming weeks, but rest assured, we continue doing what we do best : making delicious healthy meals. 

In our kitchen, every employee follows rigorous food safety procedures (wash-rinse-sanitize) and relentless hand washing protocol. Our employees have been advised to stay home and self quarantine at the first signs of a cold.  We are now more vigilant than ever. 

 How to get our foods? 

Our kitchen, just off the Thruway,  has a small outlet, where you can shop all by yourself – no crowds. (876 Neighborhood Road, Lake Katrine NY – 845 383 1199)

Shushan Valley 

Shushan Valley will have heads of romaine, mixed heads of lettuce, arugula, spinach, chard, watercress, Basil(regular sweet basil, lemon and Thai) cilantro, mint, parsley, thyme, oregano, dill, sage, chives, and rosemary available for pick up on their farm in Shushan. Hudson-Chatham Winery 

 At Hudson-Chatham Winery Troy, we want to provide a safe space for people to get some of the fresh foods they love at the Saturday market. On Saturday, March 14, from 10 am to 2 pm, the winery tasting room will have foods from R&G Cheese, Vermont Spatzle, and others. We have local beer, cider, and spirits in our tasting room in addition to all of Hudson-Chatham’s delicious wines. All of us participating are doing so with the greatest respect for the seriousness of the COVID19 situation, and we’re all following the CDC and WHO guidelines for best practices for ourselves and our employees. Please, if you’re sick in any way, stay home. But if you want farm-fresh, local goodies, we hope you’ll come visit us. Thank you.

 

The Berry Patch 

The Berry Patch is wishing all of our customers good health during these interesting times.  Even though we can’t see you at the market, customers are more than welcome to come pick up our spectacular spinach, and perhaps other greens, at the farm store at The Berry Patch in Stephentown.  Please email us at theberrypatchny@gmail.com with an order for spinach.  With enough advance time, we can also supply arugula, mesclun mix, baby lettuce, collards, and kale.  Your order will be in a paper bag with your name on it, in front of the farm store. Drop your payment of cash or check through the slot in the overhead door of the farm store.  We will respond to each email confirming the order and letting you know when it will be ready for pick up. Battenkill Valley Creamery

Battenkill Valley Creamery is aware of concerns in the community about the potential spread of this virus and will be following guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), Saratoga County Public Health, and the New York State Education Department.  We want everyone to know we’re making efforts to continue to provide the community with the milk they need.

Please get your order to us via email this week!  Let us know if you would like to have your order delivered to your doorstep ($5 delivery fee) or pick up at the farm for free.  We are working on getting drop sites figured out for the following weeks.  We are also working on opening on online farm stand.
